Directions
Mix 1 stick pack in any flavored drink (our favorites - coconut water, arnold palmer & hot coffee/tea) or mocktail of your choice to supplement your daily routine. Stir or shake for 15 seconds. For best results, consume on an empty stomach.
We recommend starting with a single serving and do not recommend consuming more than two (2) stick packs per day.

I've heard mixed things on Kava. Can you tell me more?
Kava (plant name Piper methysticum) is a root native to the South Pacific that has been used for centuries in traditional ceremonies to promote relaxation, connection, and calm. Modern research supports its ability to help ease occasional stress and support a relaxed state without impairing mental clarity.
Since the early 2000s, regulatory authorities have highlighted rare cases of liver injury associated with certain kava products. These cases were often linked to non-traditional preparations (such as extracts using acetone or ethanol), non-root parts of the plant (leaves/stems), high doses, pre-existing liver conditions, or combining with alcohol or other hepatotoxic medications.
Recent reviews - including a comprehensive report by the World Health Organization - concluded that when kava is prepared using noble root varieties, traditional or gentle extraction methods, and moderate doses, the observed risk in healthy adults appears to be very low.
More recently, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration has clarified that traditionally prepared, water-based kava beverages may qualify as conventional food under federal law, reflecting growing regulatory recognition of kava’s long history of traditional use. This clarification does not change how dietary supplements are regulated, but it does underscore the importance of preparation method, sourcing, and responsible use.
At Santé Blends, we use only noble-cultivar kava, extracted using a clean CO₂-based method, and we dose at 60 mg kavalactones per serving, significantly below many expert thresholds. We believe this aligns with the safest approach.
